The Society meets monthly for lectures, soirées and field trips to study the geology of the Mole Valley and beyond. No previous geological knowledge is needed; just an intense curiosity about the Earth and its history. Meetings are held in the Follett Hall of the Dorking United Reformed Church, off Church Street (ample adjacent parking) - see map for location. These meetings commence with coffee and biscuits served from 7.30pm. Lectures start at 8.00pm and the meetings normally close at about 9.30pm.

Visitors are very welcome; non-members as Guests: £2.00 (children under 18 and students: £1.00). These fees include complimentary coffee and biscuits.

Field trips and events will be organised throughout the year; an administration fee of £2 per head will be charged for all outings, except where this is incorporated in the cost of a coach or minibus. Details will be published in Members' Newsletters and in these pages. If you would like more information about the Society, or if you would care to provide some feedback about these pages, we would be pleased to hear from you by e-mail to mvgs.info@dendron.net.
